"She's not a synthesizer she's analogue"

The crowd was ecstatic and wanted to hear more of Lisa Gerrard's magnificent voice,
Klaus Shulze told us she would be onstage any minute now but her voice needed rest.
Best Quote ever.

Last night I went to see Klaus Shulze featuring Lisa Gerrard @ Ancienne Belgique (my favorite venue)
I have to admit I don't know the least of Shulze's work
and I only know the "dead can dance" Lisa (plus her gladiator soundtrack with hanz zimmer).
It was a pleasant surprise, the music was so special as in "not of this world".
Lisa Gerrard has an astonishing voice , which suits shulze's music very well.
The only thing I didn't liked where the background visuals , really unnecessary and they didn't fit the music very well.
The crow was dead silent although some people where taking pictures with their cellphones which made quite a lot of noise,
arhg the nerves of some people...
But after this I so want to see dead can dance live.

Antichrist

Last saturday I saw Von Trier's newest film (that would be Antichrist)
in the most uncomfortable cinema in Berlin.
It has been a long time that a film has intrigued me so much.

Normally I have an instant opinion about films but I'm clueless about this one.
Lars von trier is not really my favorite director (and that's an understatement I hate Breaking the waves passionately )
but with this one he got my attention.
Let's start with the positive side:
I simply ADORED the camerawork ,Anthony Dod Mantle is a genius.
The film started with a beautiful black&white sequence
But my favorite has to be the dreamy eden sequence with Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Which brings us to the cast,
Charlotte Gainsbourg was surprisingly good in being evil, her performance was spot on and
the cannes award was well deserved.
Same goes for Willem Dafoe, not as good as Gainsbourg but still marvelous.
It was a bit of a shock to see how much he had aged since platoon tough.

But now , the story ... that was something diffrent.
I don't think Lars Von Trier went far enough with his violence,
he breaks off at the point where it could get interesting.
I also didn't liked the talking fox , it totally missed it's creepy effect which made it a bit ridiculous.
The story could have been so much darker if he inserted a bit more 'Jeroen bosch freakish nightmares' and a bit less 'pretentious attempt at being philosophical'

I'll give the film a second look so I can pay more attention at all the little things .
But honestly I have to say that I like this kind of Von Trier movie much better than his awful 'breaking the waves'
To end with something pretty is nice , so here are some screenshots( So you'll see what I mean with genius camera work) :

Nina's manic list of things to do

O my ... , the pre-exams stress is kicking in.
Damn how I wished I passed all my exams during the year now , so I didn't had to do them over during my holiday.
Anyway , when I get stressy before an exam I get this weird manic mood.
